The concept of Theory of Mind is a central one to understanding the ASD spectrum. We began by considering the concept briefly.  After many weeks of reading, research and discussion, let's revisit the concept, consider it in more dept and critique its relevance to the assessment of autism. Uta Frith in this presentation unveals deep revelations about The thoery of the mind.Thory of the mind is a concept psychology uses to signal the ability to "attribute mental state (such as beliefs, desire, intentions,etc.) to oneself and other poeple, as a way of making sense and predicting behavior. Some of the characteristics of lack of The thory of mind highlighted include; an inability to see the mind of others, inability to see the intention and motives that exist in mind and inability to take another's point of view, a lack of imagination, a lack of empathy. This is a condition often suffered by autistic individual.Theory of Mind references the condition of "mindblindness"
